Membership is open to anyone who believes in the mission and values of the Parent Teacher Association

Every person who joins a local PTA in North Carolina automatically becomes a member of both the North Carolina PTA and National PTA
Get Involved
Volunteer and join us at our family events! We encourage all members to join us for our monthly meetings held the first Wednesday of every month.
What We Do

Staff and Instructional Support
​Each year we support our classrooms with supplemental materials and supplies.​

Book Fair
The PTA provides an allotment of "Book Dollars" to classrooms, literacy facilitators, and special areas. We give over $5,000 in books every year to our Media Center! ​

Spring Carnival
Each spring we bring families together for a fun-filled day of games, rides, and community!​

Teacher Appreciation
We provide a monthly Teacher Appreciation for our staff including special breakfasts, lunches, and gifts. ​

Advocacy
We work with community leaders to voice our concerns and make sure that our school, students and staff are represented.​

Community Building
We coordinate monthly Spirit Nights to help create community within our school. We do Family Reading Nights, Game Nights and other fun activities to bring the Idlewild Family together.
Donate
We accept all donations to support our school throughout the year. You can make a one-time donation or a monthly recurring donation. We also accept new and gently used uniforms for our uniform closet. Contact the school to drop off your donation.
